I’m a Tokyo-based entrepreneur and creative strategist working across technology, real estate, and underground music. My work often sits at the intersection of cultural critique and digital implementation, driven by a belief that innovation comes from those willing to explore what others overlook. Whether I’m writing about rural revitalization in Japan, critiquing outdated bureaucratic systems, or launching high-impact digital workflows, my goal is always the same: to challenge inertia and build futures that work.

As the founder of Akiyaz.io, I help international and domestic clients navigate Japan’s complex vacant property (akiya) market. Akiyaz isn’t just a brokerage—it’s a movement to revitalize rural Japan through creative investment, digital infrastructure, and strategic storytelling. I also run MKUltraman.com, my digital consultancy that develops bold strategies for brands, artists, and organizations ready to break from convention and embrace psychedelic realism, technical fluency, and networked action.

My passion for music runs deep. I’m the co-founder of KaalaMusic.com, a platform dedicated to Japan’s underground heavy music scene, and a member of the extreme metal band Worship Pain, whose work is archived and expanded at WorshipPain.com. Through Kaala and Worship Pain, I’ve produced shows, managed tours, and built bridges between subcultural communities in Japan and abroad—all while advocating for the legitimacy and economic potential of DIY and fringe art.

On Medium, I write about the future of Japan, blending essays on digital transformation, business systems, and cultural criticism. Topics range from digital tool adoption to creative rural entrepreneurship, with deep dives into the bureaucratic and psychological frameworks holding Japan back. If you’re interested in the frontiers of modernization, place-based innovation, or how underground art and tech can reshape the mainstream, you’ll probably find something here that resonates.
